RRR April 15, 2012 – Gene Rodemich

This week’s show is very special as we celebrate just one birthday, that of bandleader, pianist, composer and music publisher Gene Rodemich, born Sunday, April 13, 1890.  We’re very proud and happy to have in the studio Gene’s great grandson, Ray Rodemich who will talk about how he came to find out about his famous ancestor. This show is 90 minutes.

Thank you for doing this show featuring Gene Rodemich, who was my stepfather’s elder brother.
Interestingly, you did the show on April 15, my stepfather’s birthday – Emmett Rodemich was born in 1904.

Eugene Rodemich was married to Henrietta Rodemich. They had a son, Raymond Guy Rodemich born in 1918 in St. Louis. He and his sister Jeanne were raised in Massachusetts and NY. Raymond Guy Rodemich, jr, was born in the 1946, his son Christopher Gene Rodemich, lives in California . They pronounced their name rod-a-mick, short o and a. The musical talent skipped two generations, but, is exhibited in Gene’s very musical great grandson, Chris Gene Rodemich.
