RRR 78RPM Show – November 19, 2017

 Rapidly Rotating Records 78RPM Logo

Welcome to Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and’30s.

As you’re listening to this week’s broadcast, I’m in Sacramento (well, technically Rancho Cordova) for the 31st annual West Coast Ragtime Festival. The bad news is that this means tonight’s show is an “encore” presentation of the 20 November 2011 show. But as they say, if you haven’t heard it, it’s new to you. And even if you did hear its original airing, that was six years ago and it deserves to be heard again! This is a 4 segment show, instead of the usual 5, and we’ll be looking to the sky, listening to some “by” songs, songs about some gals and some “bungalow” songs. The good news if that the festival provides a great theme for next week’s “Ragtime Recap” show, featuring vintage recordings of songs played at the festival.Per usual, there are at least a couple of records making their RRR debut. If you enjoy the show, please let us know by leaving a comment on the website or the Facebook page or sending an email. And remember, your requests and topic segments are always welcome. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show.

Enjoy the show!
