Segment 4: Fletcher Henderson
December 18 marks the birth of Fletcher Henderson. He earned a degree in chemistry, then in 1922 went on to lead his first band in New York before starting composing and arranging. Fletcher Henderson died in New York on December 29, 1952.

Segment 5: Andy Razaf
December 16 marked the birth in 1895 of Andreamanantena Paul Razafinkerefo. You know him better as lyricist Andy Razaf. He wrote or co-wrote over 800 songs, before his death from cancer in North Hollywood, California on February 3, 1973.
