March 27 in 1860, a United States Patent was issued to M. L. Byrn of New York City for a device which he called a “covered gimlet screw with a ‘T’ handle”, and which we refer to as a corkscrew. To commemorate M. L. Byrn’s invention, here are some rapidly rotating records about wine.
