At last week’s Monday evening Salon, listener Bob, who is a fan of Ted Lewis, mentioned that there was just one Ted Lewis record he doesn’t have, and that is “When The Curtain Comes Down”. Listener Edgar mentioned that he was not familiar with the song at all. So, with the curtain coming down on the year 2008, here for Bob and Edgar is Ted Lewis.

Last year at this time I played Frank C. Stanley’s 1907 rendition of “Auld Lang Syne”. This year, we’ll end at the other end of the spectrum with Don Redman’s June 12, 1938 version.With best wishes for a safe, healthy, happy and extraordinarily prosperous New Year, I thank you for your very kind attention and I’ll see you next year.
