On this evening’s show we’ll celebrate the birthdays of Fats Waller, George Hamilton Green and Ernest Stoneman, play some records for no particular reason and listen to this past week in recording history.

In putting together this week’s show, I came across several records that didn’t fit into specific topics, but are interesting, unusual or otherwise warrant sharing, and here they are:

May 21 marked the birth in 1904 in Waverly, New York of Thomas Wright Waller, better known as “Fats”.

Segment 3: Ernest V. Stoneman
May 25 in 1893, Ernest Van Stoneman was born in Carroll County, Virginia. On February 12 of this year, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

May 23 marked the birth in 1893 in Omaha, Nebraska of Xylophonist George Hamilton Green.
