Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

This past week, there were so many fine composers and artists who had birthdays that I was having trouble trying to edit the list, so I’m just going to skip the biographies and use that time to play something from each of them.

Segment 1: Request & Celebrations
We’re going to start off with a request from listener Marty in Berkeley, California, who wanted to hear a particular song by Al Bowlly, and celebrate a few birthdays.

Here are three rapidly rotating records by three of our favorite artists, all of whom had birthdays this past week.

The New Twister – Miff Mole’s Molers (Irving Milfred Mole, better known as “Miff” Mole, was born March 11, 1898 in Roosevelt, New York)
One Pair Of Pants At A Time – Bernie Cummins AHO (Bernard Joseph Cummins was born March 14, 1900 in Akron, Ohio)

Segment 3: The Happieness Boys
Billy Jones and Ernie Hare, better known as The Happiness Boys, were born March 15, 1889 and March 16, 1883, respectively, they also recorded solo.
