Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

On this evening’s show we’ll celebrate the birthdays of Art Hickman, Sammy Fain and Cliff Edwards, listen to this past week in recording history and visit Avalon Town.

Enjoy the show!

Here’s the complete playlist:

Segment 1: Avalon
I received a couple of very nice emails, both of which happened to mention the song “Avalon Town”. The first was from Dave Rentz, host of “The Hit Parade of Yesterday”, a vintage music radio program in Australia. The other email was from Leah and Mike Bezin who are founders of the West End Jazz Band, a vintage music band based in Chicago. So, for Dave and Leah and Mike, here to start this evening’s show is an “Avalon” set.
