Rapidly Rotating Records Logo

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

On this evening’s show we’re going to do some dancing, send some stuff, and celebrate the birthdays of “Skinnay” Ennis, and Harry Richman.

Enjoy the show!

Here’s the complete playlist:

Segment 1: Dancing
A friend of mine sent me a link last week to an extremely entertaining and interesting website. It’s G rated and contains a short video by a guy named Matt Harding who dances in some very unusual places. This is one of the best things I have ever seen on the internet, and the URL is www.wherethehellismatt.com. Here, for Matt, is a set of rapidly rotating records about dancing.

Keep On Dancing – Bernie Cummins AHO
Dancing Fool – Eddie Davis AHO
Dancing Time – Spike Hughes and His Dance Orchestra
Dancing the Devil Away – Victor Arden / Phil Ohman, Duo-Pianists / Frank Luther, v.

Segment 2: Skinnay Ennis

Segment 3: Sending
My friend Jim Dawson, sat in at the KPFK studio last Monday night for my guest spot on “Don’t Touch That Dial”, and we were trying to remember the name of a particular song. We’ll, I’ve since looked it up…

Send for our free booklet – Harry Reser’s Six Jumping Jacks / Tom Stacks
Send Back My Honeyman – Harry Reser (Banjo Solo)
“Send Me” Jackson – Fats Waller and His Rhythm
