On this evening’s show we’re going to have a tea party, it’s gonna get windy, we’ll visit Alabama, and celebrate the birthdays of Jay Gorney and Fletcher Henderson.

Segment 1: Tea Party
December 16 in 1733, Colonial patriots, disguised as Indians, secretly boarded three British ships anchored in Boston Harbor and dumped 350 chests of tea into the water to protest taxation without representation and the monopoly granted to the British East India Company. The event, of course, has become to be known as the Boston Tea Party. Well, we’re gonna have our own musical tea party.

December 12 marked the birth in 1896 in Bialystok, Russian of composer Jay Gorney.

December 18 marked the birth in 1898 in Cuthbert, Georgia, of Fletcher Henderson.

Segment 5: Wind
December 15 in 1939, the cinema classic “Gone With the Wind” premiered at Loew’s Grand Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. So here to commemorate “Gone with the Wind” are some windy songs.
