Segment 1: Falls, Balance and Rope
February 28 in 1824, one of the greatest funambulists of all time, Jean Francois Gravelet, better known as Charles Blondin, was born in St. Omer, France. So what’s a funambulist? A funambulist is an aerialist or a tightrope walker, which is the inspiration behind this set.

February 29 marked the birth in 1904 of Jimmy Dorsey, the older of the two band leading brothers.
