A “Cardiac” Edition of RRR # 1,338 March 8, 2026

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

A couple of weeks ago I played a record by the Harlem House Rent Stompers. House rent parties originated in 1920s Harlem and pictured above is a ticket to one put on by Ed. Dunham. In the third segment of this week’s show you’ll find out more about house rent parties and hear three songs about them. In other segments, we’ll experience some longing, do some stretching, hear from Eddie Davis and end with a cardiac segment. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
