Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
One of my favorite films of all time is W. C. Fields’ “It’s A Gift” featuring Charles Sellon as Mr. Muckle, the blind man, pictured above with his ear trumpet. You’ll find out a bit about the ear trumpet in the fourth segment of the show having to do with hearing. In other segments, we’ll hear from Clarence Todd, go cuckoo, button things up and in the final segment, the show’s just going to go to the dogs. Well, actually the hounds. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
THANKS FOR LISTENING! ENJOY THE SHOW!
