A “Fluttering” Edition of RRR # 1,341 March 29, 2026

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

After years of plummeting numbers, the World Wildlife Fund reported a 64% increase in the number of migrating monarch butterflies in Mexico this year. So the fourth segment of this week’s show is all about butterflies. There are three birthday segments for Paul Whiteman, Barney Rapp and Billy Merson. And in the final segment, we celebrate the arrival of spring here in the northern hemisphere. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era.
