A “What’s in a name?” Edition of RRR April 2, 2023

Edward Eliscu

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you “toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30.”

Do you know who this fellow is? He’s lyricist, playwright, producer and actor Edward Eliscu. His is one of two birthdays we’ll be celebrating on this week’s edition of the show. The other birthday spotlight this week is on composer Harold Weeks. In other segments we’ll be at a fever pitch, we’ll play the fool and hear all about Malinda. There’s lots of great music and interesting information, so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be magically transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Click on the player above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
