Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Do you know who this fellow is? He’s singer, pianist and bandleader Jack Miller and his is one of four birthday salutes on this week’s edition of the show. The others are Phil Baxter, Gus Arnheim and Boots Douglas. The final segment is dedicated to listener Craig in Connecticut and in it we’ll try to stay one step ahead of the law. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Click on the player above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.

Thanks so much for the Gus Arnheim segment. Please don’t wait for his next birthday to play records by him again. As far as I am concerned, you could play his stuff every week. In my view, his recordings, especially those with Bing (alone or with the Rhythm Boys) and/or Loyce Whiteman, were absolutely outstanding.

Thanks also for the lawyer segment and dedicating that (and the Arnheim segment) to me. Although I was given a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 by the Who’s Who people, your salute means almost as much to me.

    Keep up the great work!
