Rapidly Rotating Records Logo

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

On this evening’s show, we’ve got some records about a record, some records about some feathered friends, and in one segment of the show we’re just going to roll along.

Enjoy the show!

Here’s the complete playlist:

Segment 1: Dear
August 13 in 1942, Walt Disney’s classic, “Bambi”, opened at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. There not being a lot of D E E R songs out there, we’ve got some D E A R songs.

Auf Wiedersehn My Dear – Russ Columbo
I Surrender, Dear – Gus Arnheim/ Bing Crosby, v.
Believe Me Dear – Ross Deluxe Syncopators

Segment 2: Sermons & Souls
Back in June of this year , the Rev. Chris Sterry, a 46 year old vicar from Lancashire, England, began preaching, in an attempt to get his name in the Guiness Book of Worlds Records by breaking the record of 27 hours and 30 minutes for an unscripted speech. So here are some songs to commemorate Chris Sterry’s record breaking sermon.

I’m Feeling Devilish – Fess Williams Royal Flush
Jericho – Ted Wallace and His Campus Boys
Thou Shalt Not – Russ Carlson AHO
It’s Bad for Your Soul – Helen Savage with the Dixie Syncopators

Segment 3: Rollin’ Along

Fifty Million Robins Can’t Be Wrong – Bill Cotton and His Band
