Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show 19 May 2019

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

There aren’t a great number of vintage records about roosters. In fact, I’ve never played one on the show. Until now. You’ll hear not one, but four tunes about roosters in the very first segment of this week’s show. From there we’ll get mean, do some shaking, hear some tunes by Charles Warfield and see what we ain’t got.

Here’s the complete playlist:

Segment 1: Roosters

I’ll Rise When The Rooster Crows – Binkley Brothers Dixie Clodhoppers
The Rooster’s Crowing Blues – Cannon’s Jug Band
Mr. Rooster – Pryor’s Band
The Crooner (Boo, Boo, Boo) – Three Old Roosters

Segment 2: Mean Music
