Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Do you know who this fellow is? Here he’s in a costume for an acting role, but he’s Al Shean, one half of the vaudeville team of Gallagher and Shean. In 1922 they had a smash hit with their sketch “Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Shean.” You’ll hear both sides of their one and only record and hear some interesting information about Al. We’ll also be celebrating blues singer Lillian Glinn’s birthday.  Jacques Renard’s birthday is not until May 30, but owing to an error, he’ll be getting an early birthday segment this week. In other segments, we’ll take a ride in a Pullman car and try to bring some reason to the table.  There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and be magically transported back to a different–and we thing better–musical era.
