Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show – November 13, 2022

Jane Froman at NBC mic
Jane Froman at NBC mic

Do you know who this lovely lady is? She’s singer and actor Jane Froman.  (No relation to the fictitious “Sausage King of Chicago” Abe Froman from the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”)  She was born November 10, 1907, and you’ll hear a little bit about her and one of her records in the last segment of this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records, all about sharing. In other segments we’ll go missing, take a beating, hear some “always” songs, and we can’t be stopped. There’s lots of great music and interesting information, so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and be magically transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Click the audio player above to listen streaming online and/or download the show for listening at your convenience.

Due to a serious computer failure, this is a “recycled” show from November 12, 2017, but if you’re a new listener since then, it will be new to you. That is unless you’ve perused the archives where you can hear every single show going all the way back to 2000! And if you’re a longer term listener and heard it in 2017, it’s worth another listen! As I work to replace the offending computer, and celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, the next two weeks will likely feature past shows.  Look for a brand new Rapidly Rotating Records show on December 4, 2020.
